Resilience

Resilience is…

Forging a path forward

When you don’t know the way

When you can’t see through the fog

When life feels as though you are dragging a suitcase wherever you go

When your brain malfunctions at the simplest task

Instead of being paralysed with fear

Resilience builds up

It offers us a rope to hold onto

Even though we can’t see the path

It offers us hope

We slowly inch forward along the rope

Trusting somehow it will work out

We hold on tightly

Reach out to those that nourish and support us

When it feels overwhelming and exhausting

We look down at our feet

We take it one step at a time

One long breath

We show up on our yoga mat

The act of showing up is enough

Slowly day to by day we build ourselves up

To the remarkable moment

Of realising Resilience has been with us all the way

We are not alone

Resilience is always there to hold our hand

To gently guide us

Along the unknown path

Against all the odds

Believing anything is possible

Resilience has got your back
