Activism

I went on my first protest in 2009 in support of the TUC — trade union congress in response to the mass unemployment and funding cuts. I was working in a small charity and it felt like at the time lots were going under. Vital support services disappearing and youth services slashed.

London was busy as we followed the traditional protest path through the streets of London. It felt good to be there but I did wonder how effective marching to parliament was. I’ve been on a few other protests in London too.
